We went to the Prescott 2009 Dogtoberfest at the courthouse square today. There was a priest blessing the dogs, lots of dogs available for adoption, vendors, and of course people with their dogs (or dogs with their people). We looked at a brown mixed breed puppy that was very appealing. Since Lacy went back to Joe, we seem to have a spot open for a dog. We’re thinking of another rat terrier. We have not made a decision yet. We have Annie (lab mix) and Suzie (rat terrier).

Lacy and Joe

Some time back I posted about a rat terrier named Lacy that we were taking care of for a friend who was ill. After a brain surgery, radiation treatments, and a long recovery in a care facility Lacy’s person, Joe, is back in his home. Today he came up to Prescott to get Lacy and take her home with him.

We will miss Lacy very much. We’re very happy that Joe has recovered enough to go home. We wish them both well. Of course we will be seeing them again in the near future!

The 2009 Dogtoberfest in Prescott, Az is on Sunday Sept. 27,2009 10am-4pm. It’s a lot of fun, we went last year. If you like dogs, that is.
