There’s going to be a Tea Party in Prescott, AZ at the courthouse 6-8pm Wed. 4/15/2009.  I plan to attend, but it it’s snowing I might wimp out :-)

Tea Parties are about protesting runaway bailouts to financial oligarchs and excessive taxation. More here.

Civil Rights Day 2009 – Happy Birthday Robert E. Lee!

My workplace is closed on Jan. 20th for Civil Rights Day.  This became a holiday in 1992 in AZ, after a boycott was launched against tourism in AZ over the our choice not to have a Martin Luther King Day holiday. The NFL moved the 1993 Super Bowl site from Phoenix, Ariz., to Pasadena, Calif., because of the MLK Day boycott.

I am all for Civil Rights, especially the Right to Keep and Bear Arms (RBKA). This right is embodied in the Second Amendment to the US Constitution and is the right that guarantees all of the others.

“a well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.”

And the Constitution does not grant us this, or any other right. It states these right are granted by our Creator and the Federal government established by the Constitution may not infringe upon them.

Civil Rights day this year is celebrated on the birthday of a great America, Robert E. Lee who was born on this date in 1807. Happy Birthday, General Lee!

What a great Christmas present! The AZ Republic reports that several people dressed as Santa Claus disabled photo radar cameras by gift wrapping them. Maybe they’ll visit the Prescott Valley cameras next year?

April 19th is Patriots’ Day. This is the day the War for Independence started in 1775.

Here is a great article about this.

I will be flying my Gadsden Flag on April 19th!
