The AZ Republic has an article on new places where folks take their dogs.
- Workplaces. Unfortunately mine is not one of these.
- Shopping Malls and Stores. My dogs’ favorite is Olsen’s Grain, where I purchase their food.
- Restaurant outdoor patios.
- Weddings and other social events. Why not, dogs are very social creatures.
- Very small dogs are carried in special purses or wheeled carriers. No, no. Dogs love to walk, even the smallest breeds. Don’t carry your dog, walk him or her.
I think my dogs are family, or from their perspective we are pack members, so this trend is great.

I like to take my dogs everywhere. It’s a bummer when it’s too hot to ride in the car so I leave them at home for their safety.

Love the pic! I am a Scottish Terrier called Hector McKenzie and I have to tell you that mum mostly takes us to Osmaston Park in Derby, twice a day. You would think that Bonny (my housemate) and I would get bored, but we don’t because we always meet lots of nice people and lots of lovely dogs. first let me say the pic is beautiful. 2nd my dogs go every where with me one time I went into dunkin with one in my hand because she was just a baby so I was holding her and they said sorry you cant bring the dog in so I have boycotted them ever since they are my family and will allow no one to discriminate against them..

My dog Ella is tickled to DEATH when she can go into PetSmart and look at the little finches and fluffy hamsters. She doesn’t know what to think, but I can tell she likes it!
