The canine mutiny: Maricopa County shows big love for little dogs via kwout
The AZ Republic says in the linked article that we are choosing small dogs more than large. I have always had a large dog, Irish Setters when I was growing up and Labrador Retrievers and Lab mixes later on. Today I have a large (75 lb) black lab mix and a smaller (20 lb) rat terrier – this is my first smaller dog.

Smaller dogs are so much more work! My folks had a MinPin that was rediculous. Their 100lb Chocolate lab? Easiest dog in the whole world!
