Phoenix family escapes fire thanks to neighbor’s dog.
A great dog story …
A Phoenix family of seven safely escaped their burning house, thanks to a four-legged unlikely hero, before flames destroyed it early Wednesday morning.
Their fire alarm came in the form of a next-door neighbor — a half German shepherd, half golden retriever named Dunkin who pestered his owner, Carole Poe, until she woke up and saw flames in the home near 30th and Grovers avenues.
