There’s a street on our dog walk route that has a lot of slow-moving traffic on weekdays. Today while on our walk at midday I was observing drivers on this street. Most ignored us, engrossed in their cell phone conversation, thoughts, or whatever. Of those that looked our way, I could instantly identify the dog people. They smile at the dogs. One driver smiled, waved, and then as if on cue a small brown dog popped up in the front seat and barked in our direction.
