This photo taken by Gary Gromer was on the front page of the print version of the Prescott Daily Courier 1/21/2012. Gary got stuck in the traffic jam caused by this tractor-trailer truck attempting to make a U-turn on White Spar Road in Prescott, Az. He walked up to it and started taking photos with a point and shoot camera, then sent one to the paper.

3D Movie

I saw my first 3D movie today, Underworld: Awakening. Vampires, werewolves, etc. Not my regular film fare, it was the movie selected by the group of couples we go to the movies with. It was not bad. The 3D was interesting, to me it looked more like a collection of layers or planes stacked on one another than a 3 dimensional view. Something new.

So far we’ve gotten a lot of high winds from this storm, not much rain. And it’s too warm for snow.

A nice, colorful sunrise this morning. This image is right out of the camera, no post processing.

I was awakened this morning by a yellow and orange sunrise.  By the time I got some clothes on and grabbed the camera the best of it has passed. But I did get a decent shot. One of our dogs, Annie, came out with me when I was taking this. She was looking all around the backyard wondering what the excitement was about.
