Guns are more effective than knives, yes. But the same evil or mental illness is at work here. In theory, if all guns were to vanish from the world – especially from criminals, psychos, repressive government forces – then psycho violence would be come softer – knives, clubs, rocks, fists. But this is not going to happen.
