Recap of the last week, and Mom R.I.P.

My mom passed away Saturday night 2/16.  She had been ill off and on for about a year. She was in the hospital and I went to see her, my expectation was a hospital visit. She passed away the second day I was there. I’m glad I got to see her before her death.  We had her funeral on Tuesday 2/19.

Mom was 84 years old, 83 of those years were good. This is something I’m working to keep in perspective. I got to see some family members I had not seen in many years – my mom’s brother, my dad’s sister, several cousins. People I only see at funerals and weddings, and there has not been a wedding in quite a while.
