The Yavapai Humane Society is having a Walk for the Animals make up event on Sunday May 4th, 2014. The original planned event on April 26th was canceled due to foul weather. It will be at PetsMart (277 Walker Rd) on route 69 near Costco in Prescott, 12 -2 pm. Click for a map.

Yesterday Gary and I had lunch with Bob and Lynda, celebrating a shared birthday. Bob and I had a birthday recently.
Up until 5 years or so ago, quite a few of my colleagues had birthdays in April. And the April Birthday People’s ages was widely distributed. It was a strange little cluster, purely random of course. Over time the group experienced turnover and our cluster got smaller.

Today I filled out an filed the online retirement application from the Az State Retirement System. I’m happy to report that much is online now and so far there has been not actual paper involved in the process.
It is feeling very real to me now. A major life change is coming in a planned fashion, and a very positive one at that.
