Some western scrub jay photos. They love peanuts, so I got some raw peanuts and am putting a few out daily. Here’s a series of photos I got today.
Here he is taking a peanut.

After taking a peanut, he cracks it open by pecking on it with his beak, like a woodpecker. Here is a photo taken through some branches of the scrub jay with a peanut which he has removed from the shell.
