Prescott is having heavy rains and some hail from a late Az monsoon storm today. We are indoors and plan on staying in today.

A Same Sex Engagement Announcement in the Prescott Daily Courier

This is the first same-sex (2 women in this case) engagement or wedding announcement I have seen in our local newspaper, the Prescott Daily Courier. Isn’t there a line in a Bob Dylan song like “the times they are a changing”? Yes, they are.

 

Carnival Rides at the Yavapai County Fair

We went to the Yavapai County Fair on Friday night where I shot these night photos of some carnival rides with my iPhone. These low light photos came out better than I expected, I like good surprises. It was a nice evening out, we enjoyed the fair. County fairs are special at night. I noticed that the crowd was very young, which was different from many gatherings in the Prescott area. Ran into a few people that we knew, typical for a small town event.
