When I was young, I had the measles. So did my brother, cousins, neighbors, school classmates. In fact, just about every kid had them. It was normal, we survived. No big deal. Now it seems there is a huge panic because a few children got this once common disease. Why?

It is more than “JUST” the measles children with immune system deficiencies or allergies and babies under six months can go blind, have heart problems for life or die from measles. THAT IS THE PROBLEM! Ya you survived others suffered and or died you didn’t hear about that as a kid unless it was in your family we just didn’t talk about that stuff in our era. If you had a child at risk you would be concerned too because it is totally preventable!
