It’s now me, Gary, and the dog pack living in our house. Yea!!

This year we had two long term house guests. Step-son Taylor spent the summer months here, now he is in Phoenix. A friend, I’ll refer to her as J, broke up with her husband and needed a place to stay for a “few weeks”, which turned into a few months. J left this morning.

We are fine with helping out family and friends when we can, but our house is on the small side and is not set up for long tern guests. We decided that if/when we do this in the future, we will set an exit date with the guest before they arrive. We might move that date, but stays like this will not be opened ended.

We all heard about the multibillion dollar spy blimp that blew away from an army base in Maryland and eventually crashed in Pennsylvania. A giant inflatable pumpkin just did the same in Peoria (Phoenix area) Az.

Halloween came early for drivers and pedestrians as a giant, inflatable pumpkin emerged from a group of trees before bouncing through an Arizona intersection and down the roadway Thursday.

On Saturday I helped run an IDPA regional shooting match at Prescott Action Shooters, the gun club Gary and I belong to. This is the first IDPA sanctioned match I’ve been to. We had just under 100 competitors on 8 squads. I was the squad safety officer for a squad of 11. My job was to collect and record the score for each shooter for 9 courses of fire, help the squad move through the match, and watch for any unsafe firearms handling. It turned out to be a lot of work, but it was enjoyable.

I got some photos, they are at this link on Flickr: https://flic.kr/s/aHskjqJMBX Come and see!
