One of our rat terriers, Lacy, is very ill. The vet is not sure what it is, she has had a mild lung disease (dog version of COPD) for quite some time that was were treating with pills. This past weekend she got really bad, having breathing problems. Could be cancer, there was some abnormalities in her chest x-rays, or a lung infection, or congestive heart failure. She’s on a handful of pills and hopefully something will work. She’s too sick to do a full heart ultrasound. So we wait and see, and hope for the best.
