I know its January 3rd, but I saw a hummingbird flying around outside our living room window. Right where we keep the hummingbird feeder. So I got the feeder out of the garage, washed it, made some hummingbird nectar (1 part sugar to 4 parts water) and hung it up. I’ll have to take it in each night to prevent it from freezing.
This is the earliest I remember seeing a hummingbird. I have seen them at the end of January in other years.
This photo was taken in 2014, today’s hummingbird was green like this one.
