We did a photo shoot at the Prescott Public Library for the 2016 Read posters that will be placed throughout the library for National Library week in April. Gary is in the right in the foreground, the other photographer is Larry Mason.

Re-enactment group Victorian Ladies and Buscaderos pose for a Read poster photo. One of these folks, I won’t say who it is, reads this blog.

Dogs, dogs eating

Stacy (left) eats slowly, Suzie gobbles. Suzie wants to charge Stacy, push her off her bowl and devour her food. She turns her head to the side to hide her intentions.

I generally stand between them at feeding time to thwart theft and fighting.

A nice sunset last night. We went to Buckey’s casino and shot this looking west. You can see Thumb Butte on the horizon.

green screen photography, photoshop composite

Gary has been practicing with his green screen set up in preparation for work he is doing for the Prescott Public Library. Yesterday I posted a photo of him working with the police chief. Earlier in the process I was the model, or the voice activated lighting dummy. Model sounds better, no?

He got a nice shot of me and rat terrier Stacy, we were in front of the green screen. Then he used software to subtract the green background, and add in a background from another photo. So here I appear with Stacy in front of some urban tagging art. Gary created my shadow in Photoshop to make the composite realistic. It’s hard to tell this is a Photoshop composite as he did a really good job.

For the library project, Gary is going to make a set of posters to promote reading.
