Milky way as seen from Mingus Mountain in Az. The pine tree on the right was painted with light – I shined a flashlight on it during part of the 20 second exposure. If you look really hard (hint: click image for a larger view), you can see 2 meteor streaks that run close to vertically. The dotted horizontal line between the trees towards the right is an airplane, its blinking lights come out as dots as it moves.
The star field is blurry, likely from too long an exposure as the earth rotates it motion blurs the stars.
