Sad news to share tonight. Our 16 or 17 year old rat terrier Suzie Lightning has died today. We had to have her put down.
Over the last year her health had been deteriorating. She had age related hearing loss, and also lost much of her vision. More recently she had problems walking, would spin in circles and sometimes crash into walls. Towards the end she had trouble standing. Today she could not keep her head up and her eyes were closed much of the time. She had been incontinent regularly.
Suzie lived long and full life. She came to us in 2005 at age 3 or 4. She will be missed.
