They say never adopt an animal that is smarter than you are 

I met one today at the Yavapai Humane Society while taking adoption photos.
Atlas is the smartest cat I have met. He was very crafty trying to hide in his kennel by squeezing into corners. After his photo shoot he hid in one of my gear bags, perhaps thinking he would trick me into carrying him outside in the bag. Then he could make his escape!
