I remember this event of fifty years ago. Most activity stopped, people turned on TVs and radios to witness it. Back in those days we had stores that sold analog television sets (color and black & white), these sets filled the store windows facing the street and were always on when the store was open. People on the street stopped what they were doing and watched these TVs from the street as Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin landed the lunar module on the surface of the moon.

This wandering garter snake (that’s a species) was hanging out under our apple tree the other day. I had the wrong lens for this subject, but I got a few images.
