We had to euthanize our 17 year old rat terrier Anya today.
Anya had heart problems, a liver tumor, and this year frequent seizures. In the last months she became confused and would get stuck in corners in the house. She had difficulty controlling her eliminations. This past week she had difficulty standing and drinking water. To the end she loved her food and ate as much as she was offered.
We adopted Anya when she was a senior. Her original person became ill and had to go into hospice.
When I was very recovering from heart and then cancer surgeries in 2018/2019 Anya would not leave my side. She was a great help to me that very bad year. I miss her greatly.
