I went to the Sprouts grocery store grand opening today. It’s in the old Albertsons location at Sheldon and Montezuma. The parking lot was a zoo. I really liked the store, it looks nothing like Albertsons. It’s all open inside. I bought some produce, grass fed beef, and a few bakery items.
It’s rodeo week in Prescott Az this week. Performances start on Tuesday 6/28 and go through Monday 7/4. The big parade (2nd largest parade in Arizona, the Fiesta Bowl is the biggest) is on Saturday July 2 at 9 am, around the courthouse square of course.
The world’s oldest rodeo has a web site and iOS and Android apps. I’ve not tried the iOS app, I think it has schedules and maps.
It’s February 29th, leap day. 2016 is a leap year, so this day is added to February. This to keep the calendar synced with the movements of the solar system, which inconveniently does not complete an astronomical year in an even number of days.
Leap year occurs almost every 4 years. For more details than you ever wanted to know, here’s the Wikipedia entry.
I’m surprised Hallmark does not have a card for leap day. Here’s what I found searching their site for leap day: http://shop.hallmark.com/search/?q=leap%20day
