Lake Hefner shooting update: A man walked into the Louie’s restaurant and opened fire with a gun. Two people were shot. One person has been taken to a hospital with serious injuries. A bystander with a pistol confronted the shooter outside the restaurant and fatally shot him.

My grandfather’s shotgun. So old it has no serial number. US firearms law calls an antique like this a “curio”. And it is legal because serial numbers were not required when it was made. Shot with Nikon D850 using 3 studio strobes (2 octoboxes 90 degrees apart camera left and right as key lights, one striplight over the gun pointing down) Brought out details with Topaz. The black background was added in Photoshop.

Another government failure: FL shooter interviewed by cops in November over shooting threat. More and more this tragedy is looking like a failure of law enforcement – FBI, local cops. This crime did NOT come out out of nowhere, warnings and red flags were flying. No action was taken by those charged with protecting citizens.

The FBI has launched a review about its handling of a warning about the teenager accused of carrying out Wednesday’s school shooting in Florida.

Nikolas Cruz, 19, has appeared in court charged with murder. With 17 people killed, this is the deadliest US school shooting since 2012.

Mr Cruz, who had links with a white supremacist group, reportedly commented on YouTube last year that he would be a professional “school shooter.”

A user alerted authorities to the post.

Teachers were also warned about Mr Cruz, who was not allowed on campus with a backpack, US media report.
