Server problems at PlanetArgon

PlanetArgon’s ion server, the one that hosts ActionShootingScores.com, crashed and burned 12/27. I’m told it will be down most of Thursday 12/28. This is really bad, I am rather dissatisfied with them over it. I’m going to do the wait-and-see thing I guess. Maybe it’s time to move to a different hosting company?

I have backups of the application files and a recent database snapshot on other computers, of course.

• Added XML data url’s

• DONE: I’m in the process of adding more graphic elements.

• Several, ok many, help files are not yet written.

• The match edit navigation has been made much clearer though the use of graphic elements and revised organization.

• Added a compass graphic to the left of the longer lists of navigation links. I still think these are on the clunky side, but they do provide a single click path the pages. I’ve been adding to the documentation pages.

• It’s finally running on Planet Argon shared hosting. I had some nasty routing problems with routes.rb and a bug in a controller that did not show up in the development environment.
