One of the best events of the Christmas season in Prescott, Az is this Friday 12/7/2012 5:30 to 8:30 pm. The Acker Night Music Festival. Groups of musicians perform in various downtown businesses – there’s a list at the link. I really enjoy this festival. If you’re in the area, give it a try.
Update: I had the date as 12/8, the correct date is 12/7

Band performing at the 2011 Acker Music festival in downtown Prescott, Az. Taken in ambient light with my droid phone, image quality is not quite what I’d like but as they say, the best camera is the one you have with you.
We had a good time walking around downtown, listening to the musicians, people watching. The festival has become very popular, and justifiably so, downtown was really crowded. This added to the experience. Of course we ran into more than a few folks I know from work and other activities. Part of the charm of living in a small town.
