Happy Veteran’s Day to those readers who served in the military!
Today was also my parent’s anniversary. When they married the holiday was called Armistice Day. They got married on a holiday so they would be off on their anniversary. My dad was Mr. Practical.

We went to the 2015 Veteran’s Day parade in downtown Prescott, Az today. It was a nice sunny, if chilly in the morning, day. Prior to 1954, November 11 was known as Armistice Day and was a celebration of the end of WWI. And Armistice Day was my parents’ anniversary too.
