Desi is available for adoption at the Yavapai Humane Society in Prescott, Az.
I took his photo in a kennel that is all stainless steel. Generally this is a challenge when using flash, there are reflections of the flash everywhere. But in this image, the flash created interesting reflections of the cat both on the floor and on the side on camera left. Single on camera speedlight (SB-600)

Here’s an example of what not to do in cat photography. My handler went to pet the cat as I pressed the shutter. And the cat was photobombed out of the image.
OK, enough of my mistakes. Usually I delete my errors but the above was funny. Now for some nice cat adoption images …

One of the kittens on my list to photograph today at the Yavapai Humane Society decided not to cooperate by clawing up by arm. This cat’s 2 litter mates were fine. There can be a dark side to handling animals.
I’m current on my tetanus shot.
