Looks cold, doesn’t it? These icicles are on a house near ours. They look pretty, but they can indicate an ice dam or some other trouble. To me, these say “winter” and “cold”.

7 Degrees This Morning … Brr

Our cold wave continues. It was 7 degrees this morning, but up to 24 at mid-morning. Brrr. We heard on the news that the Phoenix area has hard frost (under 28 degrees).

Thankfully it’s Sunday so I will not venture outdoors until mid day. Tomorrow will be another story.

12 degrees this morning in Prescott Az. Here a small patch of sunlight melts ice on the roof. Of course it is early January and cold is normal.

Winter introduced itself last night to Prescott, Az (11/10/2012)
Temperature got down to 23 degrees. OK, it is not the upper midwest nor upstate NY, but it’s wintery for us. I like it! And the black cat on the roof does not seem to mind the cold.

Coldest morning of the season so far. It does not get much colder than this in Prescott, Az.
