These white specks are cottonwood tree seeds. The are flying all about here, a veritable blizzard. Some folks call them cottonwood snow.

This cottonwood tree appeared in our backyard last year. We’ve bee watering it, it’s doing well. Not far from our house are many large ones like this, I’ll bet it’s parents are amoung them.
