At least 11 people were shot to death and about 70 wounded in a weekend burst of violence in Chicago
Starting with the close to home events, 4 hikers died in the current Arizona heat wave. A tiny bit of common sense would have prevented these self-inflicted deaths. Common sense is even more scarce than civility in todays rapidly decivilizing world. Sad. 😦
Over the Fathers Day weekend, 13 people were shot dead in Chicago and 42 injured. Concern for ones fellow humans seems scarce there as they devolve into criminal savagery. A good place to avoid. Sad. 😦
In Prescott some good news! A rescued search dog found a wandering Alzheimer’s patient near a lake. The couple that trained and own the dog are volunteers with the Yavapai County Search and Rescue team. And no one was shot to death here over the weekend. Good people make a good community. Wonderful! :-))
Anybody wondering why Gary and I live here?
Islamic terrorists strike again in Europe. But it is a few countries in western Europe that have highest risk, not eastern Europe. Why? Politically incorrect as this sounds, the problems happen where the muslims are.
Central Europe, chiefly Poland, Hungary and the Czech Republic, remain largely safe from the terror threat, despite the former in particular being a Nato player in the Middle East. It is precisely because the reasons for this are so obvious that they cannot be mentioned. Poland is 0.1 percent Muslim, most of whom are from a long-settled Tartar community, Britain is 5 percent, France 9 percent and Brussels 25 percent, and those numbers are growing.
