Stumbled across this intimate scene this afternoon. Two grasshoppers working at producing the next generation.

Green Grasshopper

This late season visitor appeared while I was refilling the humming bird feeders. It was early in the morning, when the cold blooded ones move slowly. I got right up to him and snapped this. The background colors are blue sky and the overhang of my garage, quite out of focus and interesting. Click on the image for a larger view.
