Friend Kit came over with a Nikkor 300mm f/4 lens he had rented to let me try it out on my Nikon D600. It’s light, small, the autofocus is very fast. I like it, if I had $2K laying around doing nothing (which I don’t), I might want to buy one. Here’s a couple of shots I got around the house with it.
This morning the lesser goldfinches were posing for me. We have a large population of them this year in Prescott, Az. All these were taken in our front yard with a Nikon D600 and a Nikkor 70-200 f/2.8 lens (my best lens).
The above is my best goldfinch photo so far this year.
