We did a photo shoot at the Prescott Public Library for the 2016 Read posters that will be placed throughout the library for National Library week in April. Gary is in the right in the foreground, the other photographer is Larry Mason.
Earlier I posted about the work my photo club, mostly Gary, has done on READ posters for the Prescott Library (PPL). PPL printed each of the 22 READ posters and these are currently on display at the library. Here is the one of Larry, Gary and me which is hung up by the water fountain on the lower level.
On April 13th, the library is having an event where anyone who wants a READ poster with their photo can have one made. Gary will be shooting and extracting the person from the green screen image, Larry will composite this into the READ poster background of the person’s choice, and then Martha from the library will print a 8.5 x 11 image for them and email a .jpeg to them if desired. I’ll be supervising 🙂
Today we met with Martha at PPL to go over the details. Gary, Larry, and I are working on a streamlined workflow for the event.
If you’re in Prescott on April 13, 2015 and want your photo on a READ poster, drop by the Prescott Library between 9 and 5. Free!
Yesterday I posted about doing local celebrity READ posters for the Prescott Public Library. First, a photo I took of Gary photographing the youth services group of the library on a green screen background:
And here is the almost finished image for the poster for these folks:
The background was provided to us by the library. We’re waiting on the library to tell us how to present the names of the people and a brief description of who they are, and whether or not to put a logo on the poster. Gary did most of the work. There are about 20 posters in all.
Our photo club had this post about the project: http://www.meetup.com/High-Country-Photographers/photos/25975789/
