This morning the cars were covered in ice. Last night we had a ferocious windstorm here, items flew off the front porch (a first for us) and the patio furniture scattered around the back yard. There were power outages and road closures in Prescott Valley. A friend at YHS who lives in Pauldin said her power was out and the temperature in her house got down to 38 degrees. Our electricity stayed on, thankfully.

This doormat is in front of the steps to our front porch. It has quite a few hailstones that came down a moment ago.
The birthstone for April is the diamond. The hailstones look a little like diamonds – well, maybe to someone with poor vision and cataracts.
She who from April dates her years,
Diamonds shall wear, lest bitter tears
For vain repentance flow; this stone,
Emblem of innocence, is known.
As it happens, my birthday is in April. I mention this, and diamonds, on the off chance that someone wants to send a gift. Only kidding.
