Az monsoon storm in Prescott Valley on 9/13/2017. Shot from a moving car (I was not driving :-)) on 89A with an iPhone. The bright vertical column that looks like it could turn into a tornado is heavy rain falling which is illuminated by the sun.
This is how it can pour on one side of a road and be dry on the other, an Arizona thing.

We had our first heavy monsoon rainstorm today in Prescott, Az. I was caught out in it. Here are a few photos I took from my car. These were taken near Ruth and Whipple Streets.
