The Swanson’s hawk pair is back in Prescott and are on the nest. I’m glad they returned and are doing OK.

The Swainson’s hawks are back! I saw them today while walking rat terrier Anya. I got my camera and was able to get some good photos.

The Swainson’s hawk pair I’ve been watching in Prescott, Az have a youngster! I spotted it this morning. This photo is not great, but you can see the hatchling.

Swainson’s hawk eating a mouse or maybe a ground squirrel. These raptors are primarily insectivores but they will eat rodents and other small mammals.
