For those who traveled to visit family or friends (these groups are not mutually exclusive, of course) and had to fight traffic jams or airport crowds, bad weather (the weather is almost always bad on this holiday) I trust it was worthwhile.

Winter seems to have arrived in Prescott, Az for Thanksgiving 2015. The prior day had sustained high winds, which took the leaves off the cottonwoods and elms. Add some frost on the roofs, and we get a winter scene.

Gary’s sister and her son are coming to our house for Thanksgiving, as is our friend Mark.

It’s Thanksgiving, my favorite holiday. Gary’s sister and her son are coming to Prescott from the Phoenix area to spend the day with us. Dogs have “promised” to be on their best behavior, I have offered them a bribe reward of a piece of turkey.
On this Thanksgiving I am thankful for Gary, our families, the dogs, friends, my retirement, and of course our health. We had a close friend pass away this year who is my age, and that has made me thankful that Gary and I are healthy.
Wishing all of my readers out there a happy and healthy Thanksgiving!
And please, don’t shop on Thanksgiving day. If we don’t, the stores will not be open and force employees to work on the holiday.
