As I have long suspected, coffee is good for you. Healthy. I thought this because the food police have been after coffee forever, and they are almost always wrong.
I went to the farmer’s market at Yavapai College in Prescott, Az this morning. Here’s my purchases: local eggs, tomatoes, and squash. I really like the local eggs, they look so different from the commercial eggs at the supermarket. I don’t get to the farmer’s market as often as I’d like, it is on Saturday morning and my Saturdays tend to get busy.
A canned ham, like my mom used to fix. The black dots are whole cloves, a spice I added to the ham. It was quite good, my husband who “does not like ham” ate about a pound of it for dinner.
Last Thanksgiving I wanted to fix one of these, but I could not find one. I was talking about it with a friend at work and she remembered the product but could not recall when she last saw one in a store. She asked around and at one store they told her that they get them in once in a while because “the elderly people ask for them”. I’m not ready to accept membership in that group (yet). I would check that store from time to time and one day the canned hams appeared. We the elderly must have been asking for them.
